Tracey lights up the world around her bringing infectious passion and joy to everything she does. She has been a professional mountain bike instructor for seven years with experience  managing programs for the Trek Dirt Series and the Rundle Mountain Cycling Club, as well as instructing for Women Who Explore, Fernie Alpine Resort, the Fernie Mountain Bike Club, and Moab Mountain Bike Instruction. Tracey is also the Executive Director of the Interpretive Guides Association, holds degrees in Teaching and Wildlife Biology, leads tour groups in the Canadian Rockies, and frequently speaks to international guests as a Bear Expert.

When she's not working you'll find Tracey on her bike, paddle board, backcountry snowboarding, climbing, out canyoneering. or on via ferrata routes around the world.

It's hard not to have fun on a bike when Kat is around! A British expat, Kat has been instructing mountain biking in Fernie since 2008 and has more sport training certification than we can list. Whether on skis, a snowboard, or bike, she is a sought after instructor. Kat has been a driving force behind kids mountain bike camps in Fernie since 2010. Her experience instructing with Trek Dirt Series, College of the Rockies, Fernie Alpine Resort, the Fernie Mountain Bike Club, and the Guides Hut gives her incredible depth of knowledge and skills.

Never sleeping allows Kat plenty of time after work to dedicate herself to Search & Rescue, Teaching at the College, running Ghostrider Adventure Camps, provide First Aid Training, and still fit in a yoga session or two.

Since growing up in Fernie BC, Jake has been immersed in mountain adventure sport throughout his life. From mountain biking to mountaineering he has a love for all things outdoors. He has been mountain bike instructing students age 5 to 75 for the past four years. His experience includes coaching with the Rundle Mountain Cycling Club, College of the Rockies, Fernie Alpine Resort and Moab Mountain Bike Instruction. He's a trail builder, has presented at international cycling conferences, is a local expert and tour leader in the Canadian Rockies, as well as the man behind the lens of the camera and our online presence.

Sam will be a familiar face to many. From mountain bike instruction, to her work with the Nordic Society, and her thread work being featured at the Arts Station, or her work with the Community Energy Association, it often seems like Sam is involved in everything Fernie. She's been a professional mountain bike instructor for the past eight years bringing with her experience from the Trek Dirt Series, Fernie Alpine Resort, The Guides Hut, College of the Rockies, and the Fernie Mountain Bike Club.

Lu moved to Fernie is 1998 after graduating Leisure, Toursim and Society at the University of Calgary.  She came for the winter but stayed for the summer and like most had intended to work one season but stayed for over 20.  She worked at Fernie Alpine Resort running the Kids Ski School and started the Summer Sport School Mountain bike programs.   She is a full time Education Assistant at Isabella Dicken and still a part time ski instructor at Fernie Alpine Resort.  She volunteers with the Fernie Child Care Society and Elk Valley Special Olympics.
